The Dos And Don'ts of Holiday Travel

As we check our rear view, buckle our seatbelt, and rev our engines in anticipation of a great holiday road trip, there are some simple dos and don'ts we should all be aware of before we set out.

To make our time on the road as pleasant as possible and with as little headaches, obstacles, and roadblocks as possible, we constructed a Dos and Don'ts list:

Dos

  • Plot, plan and strategize with all those involved in the trip as soon as possible
  • Check your car's health and if possible get your vehicle serviced before you leave for your trip
  • Research travel, food, and accommodation cost and set a minimum budget
  • Pack Necessities: water, snacks, music, portable gas canister, car phone charger, etc...

Don'ts

  • Allow yourself to get dehydrated keep a bottle of water on hand
  • Eat and drive
  • Travel when sick
  • Try to drive non-stop without rest or if you're sleepy

As we prepare for our holiday road trip remember to plan ahead for best results
